Regulations related to protected plants in North Carolina

The NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services oversees the protection of rare native plants in North Carolina.  For applications, forms, permits, laws, regulations, contact information go to Plant Industry - Plant Protection | NC Agriculture 

Plants refers to whole plants and plant parts (seeds, leaves, roots, pollen, etc.)

If you operate a licensed nursery, you can request permits and certificates of origin from the person who inspects your nursery.
