There are several NC native plants that may compete with Microstegium vimineum Japanese Stiltgrass.  


These include:


Packera aurea, Golden Ragwort (NC distribution) 

Vernonia noveboracensis, New York Ironweed (NC distribution)

Zizia aurea, Golden Alexanders (NC distribution)

Eupatorium fistulosum, Joe Pye Weed, (NC distribution)

Solidago rugosa, Rough-leaf goldenrood (NC distribution)

Symphyotrichum novae-angliae, New Egland Aster (NC distribution)

Viola sororia, Common blue violet (NC distribution)

                       Microstegium vimineum 

                           (Japanese Stiltgrass)
